The Society of Architects of Uruguay - SAU - is a union institution founded on May 22, 109 years ago. On this anniversary, the institution sought to recognize and thank all those who have contributed to its construction and consolidation as a fundamental area for the dissemination of national architectural culture, the promotion of professional ethics and commitment to our community.
In order to continue advancing in these orientations and commitments, all the associates were invited to a celebration at the head office this Thursday, in which, in addition to promoting the re-encounter, it was possible to exchange ideas to add contributions that contribute to the strengthening and renewal of the guild, keeping in force the historic role played as a collective space for reflection and work on the architectural work of our country.
On this special occasion, the former presidents were summoned with the aim of reactivating the Honorary Advisory Council - created by resolution of June 2019 - in order to generate a space for exchange, discussion and guidance on issues of institutional interest to the guild.
Thus, the first meeting was held after the pre-pandemic COVID-19 formation of the Honorary Advisory Council composed of the following members: Arq. Alejandro Baptista, Arq. Nery González, Arq. Jaime Igorra, Arq. Roberto Villamarzo, Arq. Adolfo Pieri, Arq. Carlos Debellis, Arq. José Luis Olivera, Arq. Perla Coppola, Arq.
