XVI Latin American Meeting of Architecture and Civil Engineering

Local and regional professionals and students from the construction sector will meet in Asunción on Wednesday, November 30, to discuss the challenges facing this sector, which is the driving force behind the economy of Paraguay and Latin America.

On Wednesday, November 30, the XVI Latin American Meeting of Architecture and Civil Engineering, an academic event that brings together professionals and students in this field, is scheduled to take place in Asunción. It will be held in parallel to the Expo Housing & Real Estate Development Forum, scheduled for the same date at Paseo La Galería.

The XVI Latin American Meeting of Architecture and Civil Engineering was declared of academic interest by the faculties of Architecture and Engineering of the National University of Asuncion (UNA), the Catholic University, the College of Architects of Paraguay, the Paraguayan Chamber of Construction (Capaco) and other institutions.

The meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in person at the Event Center of Paseo La Galeria.

During the event there will be talks about field research and the useful life of built heritage, the collapse of the ChamplainTowers South building, construction paradigms, among others, according to the planned agenda.

Also in attendance will be personalities of architecture and civil engineering in South America such as engineer Paulo Helene and architects Angelo Bucci and Álvaro Puntonide Brazil, architect Luis Longhi from Peru and architect César Azambuya from Uruguay.

Likewise, Paraguayan architectural and civil engineering referents such as engineers Paulo Yugovich, Sergio Gavilán, Amilcar Troche, Angélica Ayala, César López and Julio Álvarez and architects Francisco Tomboly, Horacio Cherniavsky, Viviana Pozzoli, Violeta Pérez, Paola Moure and Sonia Carisimo will also take part in the event.
