October 26, 27 and 28, 2022 in the City of Bogota D.C, Colombia

The Executive Council of the Union of Schools and Faculties of Architecture of Latin America - UDEFAL, by means of a call made to the Schools and Faculties of Architecture that comprise it, resolves the formal and unanimous acceptance so that the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad La Gran Colombia - Bogotá D.C. - Colombiato preside and develop the XXVIII Latin American Conference of Schools and Faculties of Architecture CLEFA to be held in the year 2023 and preceded by the CLEFA INTERMEDIA 2022 to be held on October 26, 27 and 28, 2022.

The Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad La Gran Colombia Bogotá D.C. - Colombia presents the TERMS OF REGISTRATION FOR PAPERS of the INTERMEDIATE CLEFA 2022 CALL FOR PAPERS whose general objective is "TO BUILD THE DIAGNOSIS OF THE TEACHING OF ARCHITECTURE IN THE FACE OF THE PHENOMENOLOGICAL FACT OF THE PANDEMIC".

The CLEFA INTERMEDIA 2022 intends in this first phase to carry out a diagnosis of the teaching of architecture in the Latin American context prior to the pandemic and at the moment of greatest impact that implied the total isolation, which caused to take measures to solve the problem of teaching, adopting new technologies and teaching methodologies to ensure its continuity. To this end, three possible scenarios are proposed to advance this diagnosis: The responsibility of the professional practice of architecture in the context of uncertainty and crisis prior to the onset of the pandemic, The trends and challenges facing the use of new technologies around the transculturation of education and identity, ending with the theme: Learning outcomes and new paradigms of teaching, knowing how to think architecture at the service of society and projecting a positioning of the Latin American architect in the field of globalization and internationalization of professional practice.

In order to achieve this objective, three thematic roundtables are proposed to configure a working field in order to compile the experiences and reflections of greater coincidence from CLEFA Intermediate 2022 to CLEFA 2023. CLEFA Intermediate 2022 towards CLEFA 2023, which will present a prospective panorama of post-pandemic architectural education, together with the challenges of the professional practice of architecture in Latin America in the global context, through a manifesto that aims to recognize the potential derived from the experience gained during this period.
